Comprehensive Outline of Key Terms and Conditions for VOLTA4u

  • Introduction

Agreement: By renting a vehicle from VOLTA4u, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions.

Scope: These terms govern all car rentals from our company.

  • Rental Agreement

Rental Period: Defines the start and end date and time of the rental.

Extension: Procedure for extending the rental period, including additional charges.

  • Eligibility

Driver’s License: Renters must have a valid driver’s license for the entire rental period.

Age Requirement: Minimum age requirement for renters and additional charges for young drivers (if applicable).

Driving Years: Renters must have 1 year the driving license at least.

  • Vehicle Use

Permitted Use: Vehicle must be used in accordance with the rental agreement and local laws.

Prohibited Use: Activities such as off-roading, racing, and driving under the influence are strictly prohibited.

Geographical Restrictions: Limits on where the vehicle can be driven (e.g., within Greece).

  • Deposit & Payment Terms

Security Deposit Requirement: All renters are required to provide a security deposit at the start of the rental period. This deposit serves as a safeguard against potential damages, late returns, and additional charges.

Deposit (Excess) Amount: The security deposit amount varies based on the type of vehicle rented, the rental duration, and the renter’s insurance coverage. Typically, deposit amounts range from €744 to €10000.

Payment Methods: Accepted payment methods: Credit Card (Debit Cards not accepted).

Deposit Block: The deposit is blocked on the renter’s credit card at the start of the rental period. This hold is a pre-authorization and not an actual charge. The hold will remain on the card until the vehicle is returned and inspected.

The security deposit will be refunded in full if the vehicle is returned on time, in the same condition as when it was rented, and with the agreed-upon fuel level. Refunds will be processed within 14-20 days, after the vehicle is returned.

  • Purchasing Insurance

Renters have the option to purchase insurance coverage at the time of rental. Our insurance packages are designed to offer comprehensive protection, lower excess amount and peace of mind.

  • Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation Policy: Timeframe and conditions for canceling a rental.

Refund Eligibility: Conditions under which refunds will be issued.

Fees: Any fees applicable for late cancellations.

  • Vehicle Transportation by Ferry Boat.

The car is prohibited to travel by ferry boat or an island without the written authorization of “The Lessor”. In order to transport the vehicle by ferry boat, the lessor must be informed and a fee of €50 applies. In case the lessor is not informed, there is a penalty of €100.

If an accident will take place on the Ferry , customer will be asked to pay the total amount of the damage as well as the amount for the transportation of the car to the original check out station (where customer picked up the vehicle) .

COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER is not valid into the Ferry.

If an accident will take place in the island , customer will be asked to pay for :

  • The transportation of the car to the check out station (where customer picked up the
    vehicle),
  • The Collision Damage and Theft excess amounts as well as for the amount of the
    damages to the underside of the car (if any), to the wheels, tires and glasses and of the
    traffic fines
  • The replacement of the car will be subject to the fleet availability of the check out
    station, at the requested time . If the availability for the replacement will be confirmed by
    the station team , the transportation fee will be charged to customer’s credit card .
  • In case of an accident and if there is no availability of a replacement car, the rental
    amount is not refundable.
